Default Ford Fiestas

It's fallen to me to pick up a car for my younger bro who's finally left uni. I'm thinking of a Ford Fiesta from around 2000. Am I right in thinking the 1.25 is the engine to go for? Which models have air con?

Cheers

The 1.25 is the better engine, though you could also look at the nissan micra (bit girly though) ford KA (bit girly also) the yaris as above (not quite as girly but still.....)

The 1.6 Zetec-S is miles better than the 1.25 Zetec. Depends on if he can insure a group 8 ok tho

OK, so your younger brother is of an age where he's left Uni, yet he is unable to choose a car for himself

Get him a Micra or a Ka, he deserves it

He isn't interested in cars at all... I think he might have been adopted.

The budget's about 2,500... I don't think that'll stretch to a Honda Jizz. The Yaris is a good idea though, probably better built than the Fester.

Hasn't there been a few engine failures on the 1.25?

Yes I think it's project Yaris now. Just have to find something a little more local!
