What are they like to drive?

 

I spotted a black one in Lymm, Cheshire on Saturday. It looked much better in the metal than the pictures I've seen. It sounded nice as well!

I think the reason it won't take away 911 dominance is because the latter has a hint of practicality ie fit two small kids in the back, stash a couple of bags of shopping. afaik you can't do this with the R8. It looks much better though

 

The interior colour could do with a review..............otherwise

Spooky, I saw a Silver R8 between Buckingham and MK yesterday (Wed), looked lovely even though it was just being driven sedately in traffic.

Right:

1) It's NOT a pearl necklace, it's an O'Neil surfer shell type affair

2) The interior on that pic does look yellow but it's actually cream and looks awesome!

3) It's **** all like a tarted up TT. Drive one and you'll say the same!

4) The luggage space is the only inferior thing i can think of to a 997 Porker!

It has abit of lambo about it from the rear (still, Audi do own Lamborghini!)

I'd still have a 911 Turbo, GT3 or GT3RS over it though!

I reckon it was part of the condition of getting to drive the Car.

It went something like this, "Right if you want to drive the Car, you`ve got to put this lucky Pearl Necklace on. It kind of gives off a protective force field around you so you won`t prang the Motor".

Man with nice car then ran off looking for his camera and to dream up another picture scenario for the next fella who wants to drive his car.

He`s got a list of items in his head he thinks people will wear, if they want to drive his car.

Gav was lucky, the next thing he had in a carrier bag he keeps in the boot was a short little Black Chiffon dress last seen on Eddie Izzard, that he bought from George @ Asda.

 

A mate has had his for a fortnight and has already secured its sale in 12 weeks for a very nice profit. Bottom line is it is just another fast car with a sleek looking bodyshell but doesn't do anything new I dont think - personally I would have an RS4 and save myself a wedge in the process.

Just seen one for the first time today, i have to say they look feckin sensational. Not as draw dropping as a Ferrari or lambo but has a great road prescence, and looks miles better in the flesh.

I thought they were ugly..... i take it all back
