My wife's SLK320 will need the alloys replaced shortly.

The ones fitted are standard 16" M-B alloys, and I wonder if anyone has a source of 17" or 18" alloy/tyre packages.



My thoughts are to go for AMG block style ones?

Car is a 2000 model year.

She hasn't kerbed them, but the alloys were badly marked when I bought the car In October last year.

SLK is low mileage, but fairly obvious that the alloys have been used by the previous owner to find where the kerbs is).

PS How are you?

PPS Wife has given me her old Rav 4 to use as daily commute - 12 years old and approaching 100,000 miles. Rav still pulling well on the 50 mile daily run.

That is the car is 12 years old, not the wife.

PPPS Insurance this year was £250 fully comp, and last service at main dealer £200.00.

No new car - while I ummed and ahhed, someone changed the rules regarding our company privileges and now I don't even know if I'm allowed to buy one Ours plods on faultlessly, but it is tiring on long runs (noisy on motorway) and we look forward to a quieter one with various added benefits.

Your post reminded me of when I went to try a new car somewhere and signed a waiver, and the salesman said "yes, one guy managed to kerb 3 alloys on a test drive." THREE! The scary thing about kerbed wheels is you don't know the damage to the inside of the tyre too. Blowouts at speed -
