Default Heatshield Removal -Newage- quick reply please

Hey

Having a problem taking the heatshield off. Just doesnt seem to want to come out?

Doing it at the moment- so a quick reply would be gratefuly.

I may have missed a bolt or something but can seem to find any?

How many bolts are there and where are they located?

Thanks very much

Chris

Can seem to get the bolt at the far bottom left?

if its the full heat shield then its connected to the down pipe trying to remember were abouts think its the left side one. your best bet is jacking it up and looking from under the car as you'l see it straight away but they are fiddley to get to. sorry can't be of anymore help but ages since i did this

Thanks for the reply mate.

Finally got it off. Nearly got the turbo off also. Just some of the hoses are stuck. All bolts apart from one has been slackned. Only one a bottom of turbo not done, not sure how I am going to get to this bolt to be honest, without removing downpipe which I never intended doing.

Changing both the turbo and up pipe.

Yeah looks like I will have to remove the downpipe.

I cant get to them bottom bolts at all.

Obviously I need to get underneath the car to do this yeah?

Thanks

Chris

The Turbo is attached to the downpipe , so of course you will have to take it off to take the turbo out.

Take downpipe off first will speed things up quite a bit.

Just been trying to remove downpipe, but the bolts holding the downpipe to centre section are rusted like hell and are begining to round.
