I don't know which one to go for, as SC say they both spool up the same - but I'm always sceptical on spool after my mate bought a HKS3037S turbo for his Evo, which spools really bad (he was told spool was ok).

I've been trying to get some dyno plots from Scooby Clinic unsucessfully, so I thought I'd ask if anyone who runs one of these turbos could post their dyno plot?

a) 52 people have these turbos fitted, but are too shy to post their dyno graphs

b) There are 52 potential customers interested in buying one, but they want to see a dyno plot before they buy like me.

Like you, I have yet to see any dyno runs but then I havent asked them directly.

SC did say that they were going to do back to back testing on SC46 versus MD321T etc etc but that was 2 or 3 months back.

 

I read that thread too, which got me in interested in the SC range of turbos and I remember them saying back to back testing would be done. I would go for the SC46, if I knew it spooled the same as the SC42. May as well build in some in future proofing.

I know someone else who's split between MD321H and SC42. If enough people show interest here, may be some graphs will appear and may be we could do a group buy

I was looking at them both, and went for the MD321H it seems to prove its worth every time now, just waiting to fit and map now

 

Just goes to show that its not just about the turbo.

My mate has the HKS 3037s on his evo and its awesome.
Mind you it is a Norris designs built engine and has all the bits and bobs to support it.

I've just gone for a rotated GT30R setup on my 2.5 which will be started for the first time next week. So i cnt give any opinions yet.

As far as the Scooby clinic turbo's are concerned I'm hearing nothing but good reports.

 

I've read a lot of good posts on the 321H, with dyno plots to backup the claims. It seems to spool really well and hits circa 400bhp at around 1.4BAR, which is good.

If I'm about to spend a load of money, I want to make sure I'm buying the best that's out there for the money, so that's why I wanted to see what the SC42 & SC46 had to offer.

Are there any other turbo suppliers out there with an alternative, that have dyno plots to backup power, torque and spool claims?

My mates car is quick, but he needs to drop in a stroker kit to sort out the lag and run more boost (probably PPG too). He's only running 1.1BAR, so it's not being pushed hard at all.

Where did you buy your turbo from? RCM?

Scooby Clinic's turbo's might be the dogs nads, but I can't get anyone to post their graphs - so it's all hear say. If someone can post a graph showing an SC46 pushing 1BAR at 3,300rpm and 400bhp / 400lbs at 1.4BAR I'll start to believe it.

Got the turbo twisted pipe kit from RCM the turbo was source elsewhere.

Here's a pic of it all bolted together.

 

That looks awesome! Is that an anti-surge shroud on the turbo inlet? You must be heading for 550+ with that lot?

 

I am one of those thinking of going MD321T or SC46, anyone got graphs /feedback yet?

 

I will be getting the MD321H Mapped on the 12th Nov, so I should have a Graph for that soon.
