Question

Simon, any update on your proposed outing for the Scoobynet, learn how to drive a Scooby sideways like Simon day?

hehe

OK... this has been put on hold for a few reasons...

1) Huge time commitment to get all the insurance, venue, disclaimers, etc, etc, organised.
2) So much else to organise on the ScoobyNet front.
3) I got so much feedback and interest but it seems that we are missing the point a tad..

The day was never meant to be a "here's how to drive sideways" day, more of a "here is how to drive safely and avoid terminal lift-off-oversteer, and here's how to deal with it when it arrives".

The fun day idea, is still a very good one, and one which should be done at some point, but the day I had in mind, and the reason I want to go to all the trouble, etc is to reduce the likelihood of further ScoobyNet members ending up in the bushes through Lift off Oversteer.

The problem is...

This kind of day would not be too much *fun*. It would be a genuine learning experience, rather than a giggle. Sure there will be some fun along the way, but people would be very disappointed if they came along expecting a petrol head day of hooliganism and grins! LOL (shame! )

So I made the decision to put it on hold for now.

What I AM doing though is compiling a lift-off-oversteer workshop for the first edition of the ScoobyNews CD Mag which includes video footage, diagrams, the whole works. So this should be of great benefit to anyone who is really serious about dealing with lift-off-oversteer, at a far smaller cost.

In my never ending quest to improve scoobynet, we will soon see a group of driving courses aimed at different skill levels, etc. so watch this space.

Cheers

Simon

Sounds good Simon, keep us posted. I would be definitely interested.

I would like to drive the Scoob a bit harder but don't know its limits yet and don't want to test them on the road (in case I get it horribly wrong!) My previous car was a Carina E!!!

James.

Question

"ScoobyNews CD Mag"!!
When is this due out? and how much is it likely to cost? Good idea BTW.

Would search historical data, but can't
