What is this unconnected wire next to the boost solenoid?

What is this unconnected wire next to the boost solenoid?

I have just plmbed my boost solenoid back in and discovered a wire which is not connected to anything near the solenoid. What is it?

Where should it be plugge into then? Engine seems to be running fine at present, surely it would not idle with this not plugged in?

Scrub that I think I figured it out - its got to be the exhaust heat sensor as the replacement donwpipe does not have one.
