hi i have just fitted a 95 wrx gearbox into a 95 uk turbo!
i have fitted the speedo sensor from the uk box into the jap spec wrx box
it works but not properly(dials are showing 60mph when i am only going about 20-30mph) think i may need electronic speedo converter! can anyone confirm this for me please?? cheers.

 

hope you fitted the wrx rear diff aswell to match the gearbox you just fitted into your uk car !!!

hi, i would compare the 60mph dial position in comparison to how 20-30mph would look on a 110mph (180KPH) JDM face. 110mph face link


If it looks like its in the same place then you will need to get a speedo converter. im also gusssing you have a cable speed converter. if so you will need to get a cable converter adapter and put that on the back of your dails on your dash.

if that isnt the case, then you will need to check all the conenctions from the gearbox to the dials on your dash. as the speedo cable is normally in two parts. , well it is for my car which is a 1994 JDM WRX. if yours is the same then make sure the two part speedo cable is connected properly.

the box is from a 95 wrx jdm import(cable driven speedo!)
but the car is a 95 uk turbo(electronic speedo!)
i have put speedo sensor from uk box into jap wrx box! it works but the needle shows about double the speed i am actualy doing??
