As it says, looking for some pointers on changing the black ring (01 - 02) around the ignition barrel on a WRX to the one with a light from 03 - 04 STi?

Got the Light Ring, just need the cowel and know how to wire it in. Had a look over on MASIOC but the USDM wiring is different to the EDM wiring.

Any help would be great.

The one i did some years ago on an MY01 i wired it to the interior light circuit so it illuminated only when the drivers door was opened and then went out on engine start. I also at the time glued the immobiliser sensor in there to allow the use of an STI key as opposed the chunky original.

 

I don't suppse you have any pics or remeber what wires you used?
