Default Help! I took off a directional valve and don't know which way it goes back on.

Help! I took off a directional valve and don't know which way it goes back on.


Please help - It's a MY98 Classic. The directional valve seems to have ' To E/G' written on it? I haven't a clue what this means.

hi mate i just had a look the arrow points to the front window screen
p.s does anyone know what that black thing in the bottom pic is called???? the thing with the 3 pipes.......many thanks

Thanks for that. I spent ages trying to study the workshop manual last night and was getting nowhere fast.

I did work out the black canister with 3 pipes on the top is a Charcoal filter for venting fuel vapour pressure from the fuel tank. I think I'm right on this one, but could be corrected.

Good too see other sidc guys on here to mr badger!!!!
You are right the canister is for fuel vapour is only there for emissions and if like me you don't run cats then its just a piece of useless junk!!! Thats why mine is still in!!! (i must be with myself!!!)

I'm only running a high flow cat in the downpipe. Should I keep it in?
