I have Scoobysport's Cibie driving lights and like others seem to have problems with bulbs blowing.

Can I get replacement bulbs from high street / local auto accessory stores, and if necessary is there a favourite brand to go for - Cibie / Bosch etc? I don't really want to have to mail order the bulbs through SS every time one blows...

Cheers, Nick

I had the same problem with the near-side bulb blowing every 2 weeks. Tried allsorts of makes of bulbs. Went down from 130 watt to 100 watt and it made no difference. I eventually had the lights looked at by an auto electrician who found there was a bad earth. Water had got into the spade connectors prior to the light housing. They were replaced and so far (touch wood) no probs. On the bulb front, I find the Ring bulbs as good as any. Mal

Try going down to the local motor factors I could buy 10 bosch 130's for £32.50 as opposed to about £5-£7 each. I find 100watts are ok if you read my thread about cibies I can now say it is defo the 130's getting too hot.Try the yellow pages for a start.good luck.
