Attempted to remove my inlet manifold today to fit new turbo inlet hose and insulating manifold spacers. Got so far and it wouldn't come off so chickened out and put it all back together again. However it now won't start and makes a funny noise with the ignition off!
It turns over ok but doesn't fire so i turned the ignition off and the check engine light came on and the noise started. It sounds like the fuel pump continuously working and under the bonnet in the turbo area you get like a leaking sound but i can't see anything leaking or smell anything! If it was an air leak (manifold not sealing?) would i get this symptom?

Hope someone has the answer as need car for work tommorrow!

Car started now. Seemed to be one of the main-loom connections wasn't fully home. I think i may have an air leak though as seems to have developed a whistle/hiss!
