Dont know about the 6 spds but on me uk classic mine started off like that and gradually got worse untill you couldnt get it in 5th above about 1500
rpm as soon as you let clutch up and revs rose you just got a lovely crunching like ya hadnt bothered with the clutch turned out to be syncro/selector fork/gear hub-werent impressed at 33,000miles meself

Wink

Mine, sti8 UK 6 speed, does the same...also sometimes 2nd-3rd.
Part of my problem is the amount of torque twisting the box (uprated grp n mounts will sort this) but the main thing is the syncros...UK ones have alloy, jap specs have steel which are supposed to wear much better.

I'm going to try different oil next year though as could also be the thin fully synth in box thats not helping the syncros.

If you get it fixed, can you let me know the costs?
