ineed help please for a my02.
my son bought me some new bulbs for xmas....no not tulips..but h'light and side bulbs.
how do you fit a sidelight bulb i can't see a bulb holder in the back of the light.It appears to be behind the wing....the h/book as usual is frigging useless.
do i have to take the headlight out?
advice appreciated.

you don't have to take the light out - just the air intake (left) and maybe the battery (left) - makes things soooo much easier. Will also leave some skin on the back of yer hands !!! The fitting will quarter turn out.

Navigator.
I had same problem,but wanted to upgrade the bulbs, spent hours trying to work out how to get access to the bulbs ,only answer after contacting Subaru was to remove front h/light unit . dead easy as far as i remember 3 10 or 13 mm bolts after removal easy access to side light bulbs. does not affect h/light re alignment just a pain !! .If i remember 1 bolt is hidden at the side of the front grill , other two on top.

thanks both for your help.
in the end i had to take out the grill and the lights.didn't take too long and kept the skin on my knuckles.
looks good now with the new white sidelights.Tried the H4's in the dark in the snow...cool i can see where i am going.
ABS works too on the icy roads.
