I have a friend with a '94 WRX STI with a knackered speedo head. He says he has tried everywhere to get a new one but the only place he could were asking £300. They are £120 from UK dealers but they won't supply for an import. The car has done 50K and he says that he would fit a second hand one with similar miles but would prefer to fit a new one. Model code GC8C4ED.
Can anyone help, I'm sure somebody else must have come across this problem.

why dont you just go to Subaru UK and tell them it is a UK car I always goto Sparshatts in my tranny van they havent got a clue i drive a jap car i got a uk vin number on a piece of paper and bingo parts yours

 

The UK speedo head will not fit the import model.The uk model is transducer driven and The pre 97 import model is cable driven.

Also the import models 180kph restriction is driven off the speedo head.
Try grade a subaru breakers in new mills derbyshire or Nigel cockerhills in lincolnshire.
