Default Gear selecting problem

Was doin a track day earlier in my 2000 v-6 type r, after about an hour or so of driving i lost all the gears apart from second. This soon fixed itself after leaving the car for about 15mins, must have got the gearbox too hot. The same thing then happed again in the afternoon but its now permantely stuck. The only gear i have is second + neutral. Thank god for the trailor.

Anyone ever had this problem?

Thanks

I have...

I would like to think the fluid is overcooked

but, if now you have only 2nd and neutral

I'd think that a shift fork broke inside of the tranny
quite common when you're driving aggressively

time to have the case cracked and have a professional take a look

hope it works out

Go stright to this thread's sponsor at API.

Did all my transmission work.
They regularly do 5 gearboxes a week or so.

It cant be the shift fork as it happened earlier in the day then it fixed itself, so it seems to be a heat issue.

Tried the car again this morning and still no luck
