For anyone attending this years Prodrive Open Day in Banbury on the weekend of the 11th and 12th July. Here is a unique opportunity to bid on a one off poster that I have created especially for this outstanding event. If you have not been to Prodrive's Open day, it really is a great day out! As stated, this poster is a one off, just like the P2 and you cannot get hold of this anywhere and has been created specifically for this fund raising event for the Oxford Childrens Hospital. Michelle at Prodive did also mention that maybe David Richards would also sign it especially for the occasion!!!

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to give a massive thank you to Michelle who is just a complete diamond at what she does for allowing me to come along to HQ and take the invaluable pics of the P2 that I have taken to make this poster become a reality. Without her help this poster would not exist!!

As stated this is a one off poster. I will only be producing two copies of this to be auctioned off on the saturday and sunday so that everyone will get the chance to get one on each day. It does not look like I will be offering this poster for mass purchase as its going to be just like the P2, a one off. Its been a great project to be involved with, with long nights of production and drawing and its been made 100 times easier with the assistance of Michelle and the crew at Prodrive! I now am extremely fortunate to have probably one of the best selection of images of the P2 anywhere in the world and I would like to share just some of them with you now. After the event I will post some more up from the day I had at Prodrive.

What was the point of them building this car if they don't intend making it for sale

 

It's basically just a technology demonstator.. to say look what we can do.

I think that's what the next Impreza ought to have looked like!

 

For sure to get so up close and personal to this top secret weapon was something very special. It is testiment to this company that they can make this one off car with the build quality of a ferrari or Aston. It really is that good. The doors slam shut a la bmw, the quality of the plastic and trim is first class and the finish on the paintwor is spot on and the whole thing just exudes a quality that even aston or porsche would be proud of. To think its just a one off special is amazing!! The whole thing is a quality item and should be put into production for sure! they could charge whatever they wanted!

Fair enough, but is it like that just because it is a one-off?! If it went into production then wouldn't corners be cut, savings made and quality reduced?

They wouldn't build a ropey one-off. I do agree the new impreza should've been along these lines. Shame!
