Default Project : Cosworth Van

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but the people in the know should be lingering around these parts

This is a project that my mate is looking to undertake that we need some help with.

Basically we are converting a MK4 Escort Van into a 4x4 Cosworth van.

The plan is to do it by buying a 4x4 Sapphire cutting the chassis away and disposing of the shell, then welding the chassis to the Mk4 Van shell (After we have cut the chassis of that obviously).

I heard this has been done a few times so it must be possible.

My question is do any of you guys know anywhere that can do this sort of job that we can contact them to do the work.

We are basically gonna strip the cars send the saff chassis off with the van (stripped out) to have the welding done, then we will do the rest.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

Buy Custom Car magazine.
In there will be about 6 people you can call who will be very happy to do this for you.

The time involved will be huge unless the sheet metalwork is a 'lucky' fit.

Cheaper to do it yourself (all the cutting/measuring) and get a mobile welding guy to come along and stich it all together over a number of visits?

Graham.
