Default Yay or Nay to a High Miler

Alright lads is it safe to buy a scooby with 50k + Miles and no warranty?

I always get a bit nervous when im spending a large amount on a car with no warranty because if anything was to go wrong it would more then likely cost a fortune, whats the main things to go on a scooby of this sort of mileage?

Be aware that the cambelt needs done at 50k (Newage/not sure for classic) and 60k is a major fluid service. Budget this in as both will total £600-£1K depending on where you take it.

There are a number of independent companies that offer warranties for different cars. Warranty Direct is one that ive heard of...

All depends on;
age of car,
number of owners,
type of owners,
the type of milage -motorway or cross-town
any mods,
frequency of service,
type of service,
quality of consumables such as oil, filter, plugs etc
