Just run uninstall programme from the Norton Website.
Asked to restart computer.
Now it wont get past first start up screen, no where near windows.

I cant tell you how much unbacked up data I have

can you get into safe mode or not even that far, keep pressing F8 on startup

 

Tried that!

But I have just disconnected Broadband and it has started up

Furiously backing up, will get brother in law to check on saturday when he comes down.
