Default 3 days from London to Penryn and back...

What should I see in between?

I'm spending next week in London and have Wednesday through Friday to myself (my wife will be at a conference). I want to head to Penryn since that's where my family is from, but I also want to catch some cool sites on the way.

Any ideas on things to see and do? in the general area?

Thanks in advance from across the pond...

Well, if you mean Penryn in Cornwall, then for starters it's about a 5 hour drive, or more by train.

What do you want to see?

If you mean Penryn in Cornwall , you can pass Stonehenge on the way (just a pile of rocks I know but tourists like it ). Plenty of nice countryside on the way too

Yep, I meant the one in Cornwall. I didn't realize there was more than one.

I'll be driving it. 5 or 6 hours should be pretty easy since all the scenery will be new to me. I'm heading there because that's where part of my family is from.

What to see: I'm up for anything interesting. Good driving roads, neat towns/cities, cathedrals, castles... all the old crap you guys have and we don't.
