Default RPM and Z4 in an N plate 96 UK Turbo...

Fitted a Z4 ECU to my MY1996 UK Turbo AWD last Week and runs a lot smoother than the old one I removed from the car, but notice that the tick over when cold is about 500 RPM higher than the normal 1000 RPM on the gauge (but backs off to 1000 RPM when warm), this normal when the Z4 put into a UK car?

I think so, you'll probably also find that the fan kicks in more often when idling in traffic. As the throttle switch enables it when you come to rest.

You will have a 112mph limit on that ECU unless it's disabled with hardware of in the map.

Ok, thanks for the info, best mod I have done (and dead easy too!!) on any car I have owned so far, well pleased with the increase in throttle response and stability of the engine...... PS do I need to run on Super Unleaded or will I still be able to use 95 Ron as per the original set up?
