Hi all

After faffing about for a long time, i have set my heart on a turbo 2000. The only thing I am confused about is engine rebuilds. Dont have a whole lot to spend, about 4/5 grand and wondered if one around this price would be trouble for me. Or is it just luck of the draw with these things?

Hi mate You should not have too much of a problem from a standard t2000 i think the rebuilds are for big bhp and imported cars that are not set up for uk fuel.
I have had mine for 3 years 73k on the clock and engine in good health but it is well looked after warmed and cooled and serviced by dealer. hope this helps

hi mate! got a 2000 here aswell on my00!
engine sounds lovely and the only thing i had to replace was a bloody maf sensor, but then havnt we all?
its like any performance engine at the end of the day! treat it bad and it will break, but as a rule the engines are not made of chocolate and in std form extreamly reliable!
go get one, your love it to death

 

I've got a My99 uk car, running 330BHP which is on 105K and still going strong.

You'll have to spend a bit to get it to to the same level of tune of an import but no messing around with fuel, insurance is cheaper, the gearing is alot longer on uk cars, which means better MPG.

I see 300 miles most of the time out of a tank full
