Has anyone dealt with Slip End Garage in Luton and what are your thoughts on them.

 

yep i have for around 10 mins, think it was my age (22) they had the idea that i did not have cash to buy a new WRX, never called me back after i asked them to better the price they had offered ...

westaways in Northampton on the other hand (JOHN) would do anything to help, gave me 2 test drives one of them on my own for as long as we wanted, he also gave me his trade plates when the DVLA ****ed up and has had no issues with my added Zen power. .

If its not too far then I would recommend westaways (PM for the number if you need)

Shame that I had a similar experience, offered them a price on a second hand car, said i would even give a deposit but has failed to call me back a few times. You'd expect even a call just out of being good mannered.

Like I said a shame as i really wanted the car.

 

yep , well i rang him and told him that he would have to do better to beat westaways and he told me that he would see what he could do, never called me back it would have been better to have called and told me that was the best he could do but nope **** all back from them, i would not go back

 

Not had anything to do with Slip End but as above can highly recomend Westaways

Really great to deal with - Honest and reliable - how many dealers can you say that about (all in my own experience of course)

 

John Rules , good to buy a car like a scooby from people that love them as much as we do,

 

Ian in service is very good as well - real honest guys all round at Westaway

 

My dad and I use Quenbys in Baldock. Paul Colton is the man to see. Service is great to. The best I have come accross for a Subaru garage.

I did try Slip end garage service for a few small bits and they messed me around. I said I was waiting, so I went into the waiting room, where I sat there for 2 and a bit hours only to find that my car was not done and that they did not know I was waiting

So they gave me a C3 for a few hours, then I had to phone them to see if my car was done and it was ThenI paid and they had only done 2 out of three jobs i had booked the car in for. I did not bother to compain at the time

I agree - John ( Westaway ) is a top bloke...

Went out of his way for my current car.

Travel a bit to see them but its worth it

 

I have had dealings with John at Westaways. Cant fault the service. I will be dealing with them from now on.


Dont bother with Souls of Olney, didnt bother taking me seriously, couldnt be bothered to return my call. They lost the sale and I went elsewhere and handed over £16.5K cash for my car. I hope they look on here and realised what they lost out on. Or more to the point it would be nice if the dealer principal looked on here.
