AM radio whirrs with the alternator

Default AM radio whirrs with the alternator

Driving me mad!

I cant seem to shift the whirr of the alternator on my AM frequencies- anyone cured this at all?

I understand its an earth problem but ive had no success in fixng it...

you can get a filter that attaches to the power lead on the alt..

years ago you used to be able to buy the supressor at halfords. off the shelf where the stereo convertor cables and fascia trims were.
