hello just wondering if anyone knew why my 2001 wrx has started to pop on tickover it only started a couple of weeks ago, it sounds like it is missing but i've listened under the bonnet and it is smooth and sounds normal any suggestions would be grateful thanks in advance

is it standard?

 

Could be a few things, does it pop on boost as well (when you lift off)
Could be a damaged cat, maybe a possible lambada sensor

 

it has got an air filter and full decat exhaust, the only thing that bothers me is that it has never done it before

 

it pops abit when you lift off the accelerator but not much

 

could just be down to the decat however mine only does it when your drivin and ease off the gas just burbles on tick over

 

mine usually burbles on tickover, it started about 2 weeks ago it started and then stopped and started again abit strange hope its nothing to worry about, i think it does it more after driving it hard and i let it idle before switching it off thanks for the replys
