Been offered an STI V2 TMIC for my 95 classic to directly replace the standard item, Been reading on here and can see that the cfm is much higher for the sti version, will this give me any real gains?

Car is custom mapped, de-cat 284bhp, would I be pulling more than 143.9 cfm at present?

 

As I read the test the flow in the WRX and the STI v2 TMIC are identical, the difference is the feeding pipe. So you should have a simular result with a a good feeding pipe on a WRX v2 cooler.

I know that Samco make some aftermarket replacements.

Just interested in whether it's a worthwhile thing to do, if the STI unit is the cheaper option then i'll do that.

 

I can see that the Samcos run up to around 40£.

 

Yeah been looking to, £35 on fleabay, going to have to wait and see how much for the STI intercooler before deciding.
