As i see it, we have the perfect oppurtunity to say no to the new UK STi, until SUK reduce the price to that inline with a Euro Import. The last thing SUK want is a load of STi's sitting around! Are we a strong enough forum to do this?????

Nope. Not only that, but the price (£26k) is £2.5k above the EU price, but includes tracker, alarm, air-con + other extras, which virtually cancels it out.

Think you might be wrong on this one...

I think you'll find that the person screwing us is called Tony. We pay more for our cars, petrol, ****, beer etc than anywhere else in europe. Lay the blame at the door of the govenment and band together to loby them.

I reckon the price is about right(to be honest) I'd love an STI for 56p, but that aint gonna happen.

A reduction in the standard WRX price would be cool though. 18K would be about right IMHO. Imagine wiping the smile off of Honda and Renault's faces with their hot hatch kings coming out(with extras) around the same price.


Not buying the STi won't encourage IM to drop the price, they may well just drop the model. Which would be a big shame.

We do not pay more for out cars than other countries. We just pay less tax on them, so the manufacturers make us pay more money for the car!!

we pay 17.5 % tax, other euro contries pay any thing up to about 60% I believe. Check out the price of buying a car in Denmark if you are a resident!!
