What diff is in my car

hi
i have a 1998 impreza sport with a very noisy rear diff ,can anybody tell me what ratio diff is likley to be in my car ,as i cant find any tags on the casings.
Also will the diff be l.s.d.

normally not LSD and 3.9 ratio from memory............

Mate, may I suggest you take at look at the gearbox serial number, then you can can determine which diff it has.......
