Question

how do I tighten the hub nut once ive put everything back together? Is it just tightening the nut with the wheel just on the ground i.e. not having the full weight of my car on the wheel? or is there some other way?

any help would be great

Do you mean the driveshaft nut?
If so someone in the car, press the brakes hard and do it up tight with 1/2 socket anf long braker bar or torque wrench.
