Default clutch throwout fork

so I'm putting in a new clutch soon and I figured since it was out I'd see if there are any subaru models that have a non stamped steel throwout fork. My old impreza's fork broke so I figured why chance it since I didn't even race that car.

Graham, This guy is in the USA by the looks of things. I think we'd lead him astray with Turbo and STI parts.

David APi.

PS welcome over here Mr Storm!! best to post up telling us what year & model etc of car you have, for questions like this. Otherwise we will all become confused and then so will you.

Good Luck

yes david you are correct. I am from the US where we get all the base model cars that no one else wants. I can't believe we didn't get the wrx until 02. Anyway, it's the lowest of the low. It's a 97 brighton coupe AWD with a cable clutch and a 1.8. i know I laugh too when I hit the gas. I got it cause it's the lightest and cheapest for when I get into club rally that way I won't kill my self with too much power.
Also is there a good american sube forum? the only ones I know of have ****e for tech info. Just a bunch of boys talking nonsense.

Storm, The only one I am aware of is nasioc - I guess is North Americam Subaru Impreza Owners Club

But l have no experience of it, so it may be good, it may be ...............

The car you have is totally alien to us over here, so I'd doubt too much helpful, specific info, will be forthcoming from the UK.

I've only ever seen cast iron throwout forks, but then again we only see turbo cars in here, which have a pull clutch rather than a press clutch, which you have.

I suggest welding some strengthening bars up the inside of the shaped part of the pressed metal version, that should do it.

Good Luck David APi
