It's normal mate. You can get a Prodrive P1 backbox which has P1 embossed on it, but it's not standard kit.

Question

Ive got the Prodrive backbox with the P1 logo on .

Quite a few P1 owners seem to opted for the Scoobysport backbox and I wonder which is best?

Is the Prodrive backbox better because it has been specifically developed for the P1 as I understand it the Scoobysport is an upgrade designed for all Scoobs. Presumably apart from acoustics any power gains with either are fairly minimal. Anyone got any stats?

No stats, but I opted for the P1 box solely on volume.

I had a ScoobySport box on my '98, and it was brill but wanted something a little more subdued on the P1. A friend has a full SS system on his P1, which sounds amazing, but is just too loud for my taste.

I've ended up with a SS downpipe and P1 back box, and that's perfect for me. Not too loud, but with the additional torque from the downpipe. Ooooo I forgot....Thanks Pete
