I have recently been told that left foot braking will eventually knack up the diffs in my car especially the front diff due to lock up,is it true? is it only the STI diffs you can left foot brake with? Any help with this subject would as allways be much appreciated.

I tried it once and it knackered the whole front end of my car when I went into the ditch.

Is there ever a need to use it in public road situations?!

Unless you are very good I'd have thought it was strictly for trak/rally stage days only. It's so easy to overcook it with the lack of sensitivity most ordinary peole have in their left foot control. Speaking from experience when I tried it on the road!
