What is the difference between ADSL and ADSL Max?
My Exchange is ADSL Max enabled but I think the package I’ve got with Orange is only using ADSL.
At the moment I’m only getting 2mb download speeds which is annoying as I’m only 500m away from the exchange.
LLU is also available on my exchange but only with Bulldog, I only want to use this option as a last resort.
Also BT’s 21CN is planned for my exchange in the Q3 2008 does anybody know what this means? As in the advantages/benefits?

depends on what you want. If you dont mind variable speeds which can be slower than what your on now then adsl max is okay, considering your 500m from the exchange your speeds should always be higher than your fixed 2mb svs. However a lot of providers do traffic shaping with max products (I know ZEN didnt) so if you use filesharing then you may have no benefit at all from max.
I was on max but speeds fluctuated madly, and in the end I switched to sky as they had their equipment in the exchange and I have had no problems with their service
