My beloved Scoob went in today for her M.O.T. and failed....On the rear suspension arm bushes, apparantly this is common??? Can anybody tell me if this is true.

Apparently so, according to my dealer.
Mine nearly failed its first MOT for this reason (MY98).
The ones which most commonly fail are the rear anti-roll bar link bushes. They are relatively easy to replace. I would recommend Powerflex - will cost about £40 if you fit them yourself. The most difficult bit was getting the old rubber bushes out of the plastic link arm.
