What are the following pins on the MY98 ECU for?
- pin 14 (B136)
- pin 13 (B136)
- cabel 17 (B136)

13 is the ground/shield for all the sensors.
14 is a 5 volt supply for the TPS.

17 isn't listed, and I can't remember what, or whether it's used.

Hi Ric, B136-17 is the map sensor and should be a yellow/black wire.

PS So with changing these 3 pins you can just adjust the fuel cut out point? No changes for the fuel/ignition?

 

That's right. They are using a 5V supply and ground and will then voltage clamp the MAP output so it cannot exceed a certain value therefore removing fuel cut entirely. IF wastegate hose comes off (has happened to me with the standard hoses at only 17.5PSI) and you don't close the throttle quickly enough you will see 25 or more PSI and it will go very quickly for a few seconds and then no more.

Unless they are being sophisticated and scaling the MAP output and retaining a fuel cut. But a single op amp for a clamp is easier so that will prob be what they've done.

No way by changing the MAP line alone that they could remap fuel or ignition - this would need many more lines to be modified and a microcontroller of some sort to cope with all the possibilities.
