Hi there. I am thinking of upgrading my turbo for more power, but the thing is, is that i dont know what turbo i already have. My scoob is a 96 pre face lift jap wrx. And it has the original turbo.
Does anyone know what turbo They have?

i wouldnt bother not unless you go front entry, if you intend to go for a lot of mods then maybe TD05 18g or 20g or md321 for big power

what mods are you intending to do and what do you hope to achieve?

 

From previous posts the TD05 18g seems like a good balance between power and quick spool up..... The standard TD05 is good for over 300bhp though, and reliable (so I've heard....) at over 1.4 bar. I'd really consider going for a remap, intercooler and injectors before swapping the turbo out...
