I've just bought a 1.6 Impreza, the only one I could insure without extending the mortgage. I'm hoping to upgrade the spec. I've added a set of 17" Speedlines and it is already starting to look the business, hope to do the interior soon. Can anyone advise me on a reasonably inexpensive back box, I've been told that as the 1.6 is still the Boxer engine you can get a great note from it, similar to the 2 Litre. Are there any suitable after market, bolt-on back boxes or can you attach the 2 Litre system. Perhaps I'd be better robbing the post office and buy the real thing, however I'm sure I'm not be the only wannabee about. Thanks.

Im not %100 sure about this but I dont think you will be able to put a Turbo exhaust (coz they're different) on your car from any of the common names such as Magnex, Scorpion etc.

I think your best bet would be to go for a Powerflow stainless steel exhaust as they do both back boxes and full systems for almost any car (make them while you wait) and I think there are a few Powerflow agents throughout N. Ireland.

You can choose your own sound, talipiece etc.

Hope this helps
