Heres one for all you knowledgeable people.

Driving the car yesterday (fairly cold and very wet day), a few times the car hesitated like it was fuel cut.

However, I noticed a light come on on the dash, it looked like a coiled spring type shape I think?

Anyways everytime the car hesitated it seemed to light this light up.

Any ideas?

Its a 94 RA. seemed to get better the longer I drove though.

What is that light for?

 

If it was the cat warning its better known as the steaming turd. Tells you if your cat is on fire. Not much use really and not worth worrying about.

I've not heard of any running problems associated with it though.

If you shine a torch on the warning lights you should be able to see what it was without it being lit.
