Question

It is due it's first MOT and I can't take it to the usual MOT station, as they only have rollers for 2wd.

I could ring Tiley's, but I think that if I book it in with them, then they would have to take it somewhere else to get it done anyway. However a MOT only takes about 45 minutes so I thought it would be easier to take it myself.

Where have you taken yours?

Thanks.

Tracey,

Mine was done a couple of weeks ago. I rang Tileys but their MOT station is (or was) out of action. They said that they sometimes used Lex Autocentres in Bedminster so I just took it there. Done while I waited with no problems at all, and quite cheap from memory as well.

Address and phone no.

Lex Autocentres Ltd
237, West St
Bedminster
Bristol
Avon
BS3 3PZ

Tel: 0117 963 6498

Cheers,

John

Why do you need a 4 wheel drive testing station?

I'm gonna have mine done at Lockleaze nr Filton, and they only have 2 wheel rollers for the brake testing

At least I wont need the emissions doing as its supposed to be exempt!

BOB,

Paul said "No good asking Bob coz I don't think he's ever had a car long enough for an MOT". Paul was right for once.

John,

Thanks, I'll give them a call. I don't mind waiting coz I used to wait where I went before. Btw, Tiley's do do MOT's at their place then do they, Paul thought they didn't for some reason.

Steve,

I thought with it being 4wd, you weren't suppose to let 2 wheels drive like that, ie, if you break down and car needs to be transported you have to put it onto a loader. I thought it could damage something.

Thanks

Tracey
