Jasma Exhaust system
I took it off in favour of the Scoobysport system as I do not know much about it...........
Can anyone tell me about it, as most WRX's come across with it on as an after market product somebody should know something
I would really appreciate your help.........
Michelle.

Michelle I have an aftermarket jap exhaust with Jasma stampted on the bottom of the silencer. I thought this was something to do with the noise regulations in Japan rather than the make .
Could be wrong though !

Jasma isn't a brand, it is as lumby says the Japanese equivalent of out MOT (not the test!) or the German TuV.
For an exhaust system to be street legal in Japan it has to go through a Jasma test, if you have an exhaust stamped with a Jasma test plate then it has passed the Japanese drive by noise tests. I'm not sure what the level is set at, but 104db springs to mind...
pith poor spelling edit

JASMA stands for Japanese Automobile Sports Muffler Association and there are essentially two types of certification: JASMA "Street Use" and JASMA "Race Use". The ZeroSports "Venturi" muffler I have carries a JASMA plate with a certification number inscribed while a friend's ZeroSports race muffler says"JASMA Race Use Only"
