Default Any classic back box

I have just bought myself a Milltek back box for my96 UK wagon (s/s). I have been looking around on here and Ebay and noticed that some box's have the 2 rear mounts in different places! Some are near the back of the box (not the tail pipe) and some are more near the middle of the box. The one I bought is nearer the middle of the box.
What are the differences on these boxes because of this (if any)? Would it be that the box and tail pipe will actually stick out more from the bumper or that its come off of a later classic
The box came off of a W reg classic saloon btw.

Your input would be good

Not sure of the Miltek, but do know that the difference between the prodrive classic and newage back boxes is the number of hangers, the newage having an extra hanger which can be cut off so that the box fits a classic. I didn't think that the tailpipes were different lenghts but some people seem to mention it. Hope that helps in some way. I'd get under the back of the car and offer yours up to see any differences.

Thank you for the reply Yamarashi (at least somebody has put an opinion in) I have measured the box's and the Miltek looks to be about 2 inches longer!

Fit it on it'll only take about half an hour to do (especially If you have some ramps or axle stands) then you'll see exactly what its like. The potential 2" wont make much difference as the standard box tailpipes seem to sit further under the bumper anyway so yours should sit just right.
