Default Is this the correct ECU for 96 WRX

Hi Guys,
I'm not sure if this is the correct ECU, from what I can gather it should have Z4 on it, any ideas

That ECU looks to be from a facelift model. Probably on the 96/97 cross-over.

Yeah it's a late 96 WRX, not a wagon tho, is this mappable? So should I refer to it as a 'IS' model ECU, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on SN??

Yup, that's a 1S ecu, standard subaru fitment on the facelift 96/97 saloon and also on the 96/97 STi3 wagon. Should be good for 280ps as stock.

There are not a whole lot of options for these ecus in the UK. Some of the tuners offer boards shipped in from the southern hemisphere, but the cost is usually such that aftermarket ecus are often on the same price list!
