Question Do MY03/04/05 JDM STi's share same Crank/ Pistons

My question is this - Do the JDM MY03, 04, 05 STI's all share the same crank & pistons i.e. same maunfacturer part and were carried through all years or did they change for different ones with later years.

And second part, does the Spec-C share the same as the standard JDM STI or are they different again.

And the reason I ask is - I am rebuilding an engine and I was told the best Crank to use was one from a JDM v9 STI Spec-C. Want to know what other engines might have used this crank or was only what they called the V9 Spec-C

Now I am guessing by V9 they would mean one from a MY05 is that correct would the MY03/04 be referrred generally to the V8.

If they all shared the same crank makes life easier and what was the difference if they used different ones

Lots of questions I know, can anyone help please

Cheers

"....The crank and rods are the same in the spec C's as the standard STI's. Its the pistons that differ.

A MY05 (V9) crank is the one to go for. It has cross drilled oil holes....
