help,,,car wont start

just been out to move the car and it wouldnt start,,,when i turned the key it just made a ticking noise

any one got any ideas

Sounds like it could be a flat battery, try jump starting it or charging the battery overnight. Could also possibly be the starter motor or poor earth but flat battery is the easiest thing to check first.

Dead Battery, probably due to the drop in ambient temperature.
The noise is the solenoid trying to fire the starter motor.

Give the battery a charge or better still get a new one.
