Having read a few threads reguarding the price of the new UK STI being launched in January, I definately feel the P1's have to be hit on the head if the new car is only going to cost 26K, or indeed 27.5K for the Prodrive version. Although I didnt like the new car to begin with, its starting to grow on me. I think that is the general concensous, and after all, who is going to pay more than the price of a new STI for the old shape P1 ? I want a P1 but definately wont pay what the dealers are asking at the moment. I think they are going to have to reconsider ! What does everyone else think ?

Question

Wait and see - what else ?

I am perfectly happy with mine (as you know) even if many consider them to have been overpriced. Have not seen or taken much interest in the new STI`s yet.

How many `new` P1`s did your enquiries turn up ? - If you really want one then go ahead now as the disappointment of missing out can not really be quantified by cash.

The new P1`s may drop near the end of the year as their type approval runs out I`m told.

Cheers

Similarly everyone thought the bottom would drop out of the EVO VI market when the VII came out. An EVO VI still is more expensive to buy than a VII.
Buy a P1 and enjoy it if that's what you want. I was in the same position as you. DIdn't like the bug eyed monster, but wanted to change. Bought a P1.

Edited cos I'm a spaz
