Default UK Spec Subaru Turbo - How far to go..

Mate of mine got a Subaru Turbo UK spec.. Think I read there 220hp?? Anyways theres no mods bar a HKS exhaust and a BOV. Hes wanting to buy a EBC (Greddy Profec B or Blitz Spec R) and a Blue E-Manage.. Sensible choice IMO.. Anyways what is a safe boost/power level before he would need to uprate fuel pump, fuel reg etc?? IMO hed be looking for a slight increase on the 2 above which he wants to do so I am guessing a 15hp max gain but he wants it done right.

How much power do you want?
You should talk with your insurance co first to see what they will or wont let you do to your car, also costs for what seems something small can leave you with a big hole in your pocket, wheels for instance can add upto 300 quid on your policy
Where do you want to go with your car? 270bhp? (cheapish) 350bhp? (sort of still affordable) 500bhp?? (rob a bank time )

Insurance isnt a problem.. He just wants an up on power, 250/260hp.. This isnt a cost factor its about how to do it and doing it right..

He basically got the car as standard (220hp) and wants extra power (Brakes/suspension sorted).. So for that extra power he was wondering wether he will need the accomodating mods or are teh stock fpr/pump good enough to cope with around 250hp??

Mods which are getting done:

Blue e-manage
EBC @ 1bar

Will he need a Sard FPR and pump or are teh stock ones good enough?

Thumbs up

if its an early classic stick a z4 ecu in it cost under a hundred would put you close to 250bhp

Right were going off topic here folks.. Were fitting a blue e-manage and boost controller to 1bar.. Its an X-reg..

So will a upgraded pump and fuel reg be needed or not??

No, you wont need to upgrade the pump, you should bin the ebc and go for a ecutek remap, much safer and better gains without blowing your car up if you make a mistake
