Default Standard blobeye wheels?

Folks,

My wife and I are migrating to New Zealand in November and are planning on buying an early JDM blobeye Sti. Looking around there seems to be a number of different styles of alloy wheels and was hoping someone might be able to assist and tell me what style was standard and if/when they changed style?

Pictures would be a great help.

This is what we're looking at for now. Any comments?

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Cheers
Mike

Heres a slightly better pic of the wheels on your car, or the one your looking at

And these are fitted to the MY05 onwards STI's as standard

These wheels will not however fit your car. Subaru for some strange reason changed the PCD from 100mm to 114mm in 2005, i bought a set and found out the hard way, it was specific to the STI's as well, i have an MY05 WRX and they got left with the 100mm pcd

Could it be because the MY05 STi has the Spec C set up?? Bigger bearings etc...

Superb, thanks for the information. Much appreciated.

I do prefer the newer style wheels but MY05 car is just out of our reach. I'm now in discussion with a Subaru dealer in Auckland that has a NZ new 2003 STi (which is the JDM model) available. It's got 36,000kms and looks in fantastic condition.

Fingers crossed!

you may want to ask if the JDM change came in before, i cant see it being 2 yrs before the UK version, but it may be on an MY04????

I do know the style of wheel is available on the 100PCD if its those you really want.
