Get an Apexi FC ecu and a good mapper (ie AndyF)

Good chance, but take the chassis and look at the www.SIDC.com (co.uk?) website.
Just not sure about the aerial!

The aerial would signify that it is a post Sep 1994.
If it was a WRX it should have a Z4
If it were an WRX RA it should have a Z5

diff control means it's and RA, so it should have a Z5 ECU

I think a V5 is from a WRX Wagon, so probably mapped for a TD04 Turbo instead of the bigger TD05 of a saloon.

The aerial was on the A-pillar for Pre' Sept 96 cars, then moved to the rear wing post sept 1996. It was then moved back to the a-pillar on the facelift 97>.

All a bit strange and quite costly I should imagine.....

Pre Sept 1996 an RA should have a W9 ECU
Post Sept 1996 an RA should have a Z5 ECU

STi RA should have an SB ECU which is 'chipped' by STi.
