Default Rattle coming from passanger dash. Doing my nut!!!

Hi,

I have a classic 98 STi type R. There is a rattle coming from the passenger side dashboard which I cant find. I have taken as much of the dash apart as I can but still cant find it. It seems to be coming from somwhere near the compartment above the glovy.

I have even stuffed rags inside to try and stop any bits touching but to no avail. Has anyone else had this? Does anyone know what it could be or how I can fix it? Most of the dash seems permanently attatched and I cant get it off.

Its been ok driving with the windows open cos it drowns it, however now its cooler its doing my head in. Pls help!!

Dave

Try checking bonnet hinge area, especially on passenger side.Could be some plastic trim touching the bonnet or bonnet hinge bolt loose.
Good luck.

Default crappy rattly scooby trim...

Mine too. First thing I noticed after I bought the girl... and I was always led to belive Jap cars were better screwed together than this. Still, love it despite its foibles.
